The Regent Alpine Society is a dedicated champion for the conservation of Kenya's alpine regions, or 'Water Towers', crucial for the country's water supply. Facing threats from deforestation and human settlement, these areas require urgent protection. Through awareness campaigns and conservation projects, we strive to preserve these landscapes for future generations, ensuring a sustainable water supply and ecological balance. Our mission is to inspire action and raise awareness for the safeguarding of these natural wonders, envisioning a world where their beauty and biodiversity are cherished and protected by all.

Our Story

The Regent Alpine Society was founded in 2018 with a vision to provide young people with affordable opportunities to explore the alpine regions of Kenya. The society quickly realized the importance of conserving these areas, known as water towers, due to encroachment by human settlement, which was leading to their destruction. As a response to this pressing need, the society shifted its focus to conservation efforts, aiming to raise awareness and implement projects that would preserve these vital ecosystems. Over the years, the Regent Alpine Society has become a leading voice in alpine conservation, advocating for the protection of these unique and fragile environments. Today, the society continues its mission to conserve the alpine regions and water towers of Kenya, working tirelessly to ensure a sustainable future for these precious natural resources.
